How does my vehicle react on wet roads? What happens if I step on the brakes fully? Our employees were able to gain this and other experience with their own cars, company vehicles and vans during a driving safety training course.

Divided into two groups, almost all teamt employees took part in the full-day training in Rheinberg on November 20 and December 11, 2021. Martin Tischer explains the reason for this rather unusual action: “We want to make the way to and from the workplace as well as the journeys to our construction sites safer. Our vans in particular are moved around a lot, but often with little knowledge of vehicle behavior in exceptional situations.”

During the training, the drivers and vehicles were pushed to the limits. They learned how best to behave in unusual situations to maintain control of the vehicle. For example, the braking maneuver and the estimation of the braking distance are strongly dependent on the vehicle type, the load condition, the speed and the condition of the road.
