A 40-ton truck travels to Przemyśl on the Ukrainian border at 9 p.m. on March 10, 2022, to a collection point from the Polish National Administration. It is loaded with food, hygiene items, over-the-counter medications, medical supplies and warm blankets. The relief goods are first collected in a neighboring warehouse by teamtischer, listed and packed by volunteers on pallets and, if necessary, in cardboard boxes ready for shipment. In order for the truck to reach its destination free of charge and without wasting time, it is marked accordingly.
On the way to the Polish border, a representative of the local Rotary Club will board the truck in Katowice and accompany it to the collection center at the border. From there, Ukrainian drivers take over the further transport in a convoy to the destination in Lviv.
